Piacevole e was founded in 2019 by Nina Wan while she was studying at Parsons The New School of Design in New York. The brand adheres to the design language of classic and romantic prints, and it constantly shuttle between reality and feelings.Nina continuously draws inspiration from her childhood memories of practicing piano and classical music, weaving the romantic chords of Debussy, Chopin, and Schubert that she has played into every stitch, thus giving birth to the brand: "Piacevole e": in Italian piano terminology, it represents: pleasant, comfortable.

Nina's experience of growing up abroad has shaped her contemporary aesthetic inspired by outstanding western artists such as Cy Twombly, but the design details and subtle color choices in all of Piacevole's works showcase her natural Eastern attributes. This combination of two cultures she grew up with creates a unique collision and fusion of aesthetics that uniquely belongs to the brand. Nina once said in a CCTV interview, 'The Eastern details in piacevole e are embellishments that I created unconsciously .'
